James is a composer, with a particular focus in vocal composition. He studied composition at Bangor University, and his compositions have been performed in venues in the UK including the British Film Institute in London. 

 

James’ experience as a classically trained singer and choral director are strong influences in his composition work, and he is passionate about building on the strong English choral music traditions and creating new repertoire with this inspiration, both sacred and secular.
